Welcome! You have found the official recipe page of Craft Time With Abbie! All of the food I make on my channel, the recipes can be found here! Along with the videos if you need help!

This is my most popular recipe! This is one out of 3 that is on my website! I have two on my YouTube! Including this one!

Marshmallow Chocolate dogs are fun to make and challenging at the same time! Getting the chocolate to be the right consistency is probably the hardest thing, besides decorating and waiting for them to cool!

My brother and sister found them delicious and cute at the same time! And so did I! My sister said, “Mmmmm…. Soooo good! Chocolate and marshmallow are AWESOME!” My brother just said, “Yum!” Being that he is only 3, that is what I would expect!

So give it a try for yourselves! Let my know what you think either on here or, on my YouTube!

Let’s make a Dog out of Marshmallow, chocolate, and icing! Pst… There’s a Video below so Be sure to check it out!! Plus, see how we rate it! (I would advise you to read the notes before you start!)

Time: 30-40 Yield: 7 Prep: 5-10

  • 7 Kebab Sticks
  • 7 Large Marshmallows
  • 1/2 cup Dark Chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup Creamer or Milk
  • Black and Gold Gel icing for details
  • Graham Crackers or Pretzels for ears

Directions:

  1. Melt your chocolate chips. Add milk or creamer to the chocolate.
  2. Take your marshmallows and put them on Kebab sticks.
  3. Dip the marshmallows in the chocolate.
  4. Next, put the chocolate dipped marshmallows on a pan.
  5. After, put them in the freezer until chocolate is solid again. This takes about 15-25 minutes. (Read Notes at the bottom of this recipe to know what to do in this waiting time.)
  6. After the chocolate is solid, Take them out of the freezer and decorate them with Gel Icing. (There is a link in the notes for this Icing.)
  7. With the black icing, Make the eyes, nose, mouth, feet, and outline for the tail
  8. Next, fill in the tail with gold icing.
  9. Lastly, cut small triangles out of graham crackers or pretzels for ears. Use the Black icing for the outer ear. And use the gold for the inner.
  10. Finally, enjoy your yummy marshmallow treat!

Notes:

  • For Direction 1: Make sure to get your chocolate to a drinkable consistency. If it is too thick it will fall off the marshmallow.
  • For Direction 5: While Waiting you can practice your design on a piece of paper, or take a look at my YouTube video for some inspiration.
  • For Direction 6: I bought this wonderful gel icing from party city! (Link at bottom)
  • For Direction 9: Pretzels are easier to cut with out them falling apart. I used Snyder’s Of Handover Mini Pretzels. ( Link at bottom)
  • Regarding the Recipe: When you are dipping the marshmallow in chocolate, this is very time sensitive. You don’t want to chocolate to start clumping up.
  • Regarding the Recipe: This will also work with white chocolate and butterscotch too!
